And so it begins

“Well, I used to tell my husband that we could be professional baby makers. I wasn’t sick a day. I wore my pregnancies beautifully and most people didn’t even know I was with child until about 7 months. I had more energy than usual and my house never looked better. I just don’t know what it would feel like to have morning sickness or pains! I guess some people just handle it better than others.”

Egads! What is it about grandmothers that they just have to say whatever comes to mind and it just happens to be the most frustrating, ignorant, rude, thing you could have possibly imagined. My grandmother likes to say that she would get pregnant every time she hung her underwear and my grandfather's on the same line to dry. Sheesh.

I just think it was too long ago and she can't remember her pregnancies. Its not actually MY grandma but she is old enough to be my grandma.

Ah, love all the advice.

Wow, that's just cruel beyond belief. On the upside, it means that when we're 80, we'll look back on pregnancy and remember it NOTHING like it really was (if we're lucky enough to be pregnant despite IF, that is). Ugh.

I was sick from conception til 6 months...puking all day every day. I hated it but loved it at the same time. It reassured me. Maybe I'm a whackadoo but I welcomed every pregnancy symptom with open arms. Haha.

Ouch. Low blow.

My guess is that she was a raging hormonal mess just like the rest of us are when pregnant.
Wasn't sick a day? Ha. Right.
Wore pregnancy beautifully? I am sure that's what everyone said because she was a hormonal mess.
No one knew she was with child until she was 7 months? I.don't.believe that one for a minute. Come on...not possible.
More energy that usual? Her husband must have done everything.
Never looked better? well, pregnancy is beautiful, so maybe.

Bite me, grandma indeed!
