I used to hate capri pants until I wore them as a summer camp teacher. They were so good to me that year that I am no longer allowed to complain about them. Of course, my camp t-shirt covered my butt. :)
Ah, capri pants can be evil if they aren't the right length. Try shortening them a bit to bring the attention to your assuredly-lovely calves and ankles and see if that doesn't improve things. If not, then BURN 'EM!

I get capris pants that have pockets on the butt. I think that helps.
